We Met in a Bar

how soon is too soon?

(Three posts in one day! I’m on a roll :)

Ok, so how soon is too soon to buy shoes for your wedding? We are still one year out, but I think I found the perfect shoes a’la J Crew… As you (may or may not) know, our colors are grey and marigold, and these are so flippen perfect:

Do I buy them now? Do I wait to see if they go on sale? Do I wait to see if I find something else? Is it possible to have shoes this cute in my closet for a whole year without wearing them?! These are the right color, the right height, and (my favorite) peep toe…  Tell me! What should I do?!

i love them. i’m a little less than a year out without a dress & i bought a necklace to wear in the wedding. it wasn’t cheap but i fell in love & worst case scenario i’ll find somewhere (or 20 places) to wear it! i’d buy them! i’m actually going to see now if they come in green! :)

I would buy them, keep them for a few months with the receipt in the box an if they do on sale, return them and buy them again. JCrew has a really good return policy. I was going to buy a pair of sandals for our vow renewal and I waited to get them on sale and they’re gone! :( JCrew stuff goes quick!

Wait for them to go on sale and buy them! That way, if you don’t end up wearing them, you still bought adorable shoes on sale. And if you do, well–you just scored a deal.

Just place a little reminder in your calendar every two weeks to check out the site . . .
