We Met in a Bar

just for you mom!

Janie over at The Bride’s Cafe has a great interview with Anne Heap of Pink Cake Box. Ok, to tell you the truth I didn’t read the interview (although I am sure it is very interesting). However, I did see a certian cake that Anne created, which brings us to this post.

To start, my mom is awesome. She and my dad raised myself and my 2 younger sisters extremely well, if I do say so myself, and I am so proud to call her my mother. You can visit her blog here and visit her and my dads online kayak fishing store here. If you remember my previous post where I mentioned going to Bass Pro Shop for hours, I was in tow behind my parents. I think it is their mecca. With all that said, if I were to ever order a cake for my mother’s birthday, or mothers day, or if my parents were to ever renew their vows, and if I lived in New Jersey, this is the cake I would order:

How awesome is that mom?! Yes, go ahead and include a link to this post in your online scrabble games :)  This cake really shows off the talent and creativity of the Pink Cake Box.  If you are looking for something a bit more, well, quiet, if you will, they also do beautiful cakes like this:

I’m not sure what we are doing as far as a cake is concerned. Our reception is going to be cocktails and tray passed hors’ dourves so we will probably go with a few different passed desserts.  This post has me craving a good piece of funfetti cake with funfetti icing. MMMM
