making our home pretty
So B and I recently combined lives, into his one bedroom apartment
Maybe one day when we are totally settled I will show before and after pictures, but for today I wanted to talk about our new dressers. At my last apartment I had a huge closet and so I didn’t buy a dresser. Bryan had two dressers, one that was his ex’s from her childhood apparently and the other was this blue one from ikea… both had broken drawers… so we were very excited when this past weekend we went to Ikea and bought two of these for Bryan:

And since the Hemnes dresser I want is out of stock and costs $150 to ship, I am thinking about getting this matching taller dresser:

There is just something about it that is blah to me. I like the look of the short ones though, and the idea of having matching dressers (quite a concept, i know). So I was thinking about buying some cool knobs to dress them up a bit. I found all of these at Anthropologie!

They are a little pricey so I may go check out the local antique stores for some cheaper finds, but all in all I think there is hope for the blah dresser!

Isn’t that the way??? I feel like IKEA is consistenly out of my first choice of furniture. I think its a conspiracy
That middle knob, with the buttery yellow background and black swirly flower is so lurvely – it would dress up your dresser beautifully!
Too funny – we have the Ikea Malm furniture in our bedroom! It looks great, I totally recommend it.
[...] I love all things vintage, so spending a morning at the local antique barn is always a good thing. I went Sunday morning to the old antique barn in San Juan on the hunt for knobs. [...]
