We Met in a Bar

more maids

ok, so the dresses my maids would wear if money grew on trees. (Note: I wouldn’t ever ask them to buy the dresses, because I know that that would be asking too much. But if I had an unlimited budget, I would totally buy them for my favorite ladies :) ) I love these dresses. They are elegant but sweet and flattering and, well, amazing.

Ok, on to the dresses that my ladies will most likely wear. I have already talked about my love for all things JCrew. Well, I had had my eye on their wedding & parties since the word wedding entered my life. And oh how amazing that store is. Not only do they offer tons of different styles and price-points in similar fabrics and cuts, making things oh-so easy to coordinate, but they also… ready for this?… show you their color swatches for the next 2 seasons AND they will send you swatches so you can check the color in person, since they don’t offer the dresses in the stores. Oh, and you can plan to have a fitting day and they will ship in the dresses to the store of your choice so you can try them on without having to buy them and ship them back.  Love them. Love. Them.

And what do you know? They will have dresses in dark grey and marigold for their holiday season! Pretty good timing for buying dresses for our July wedding. The following dresses are all offered in the first marigold color.

These dresses are each under $200, and can be worn again to a wedding or cocktail party. And with the three different styles the girls can pick something that they feel comfortable in.  JCrew also offers two dresses in a dark grey color which may be an additional option, but they are more expensive ($250ish) so we will see. Considering we are still a year out from the big day, there is a good chance things will change. But it is very comforting to know that JCrew has something for everyone, in my colors. If all else fails, JCrew has my back. Cause we’re tight like that.

I love those dresses, as well and my girls will most likely wear something from MS/PoB. I love the JCrew dresses but the prices aren’t too far apart. There are some JC dresses that are almost $100 more. Those dresses in the photo are between $248-268.
