I specifically asked one of my maids “what is the point of a bridal clutch?” I have seen 1, ever, in bridal pictures… it just kind of seems like one of those “it’s my wedding day so of course i have to have a bridal clutch, duh!” kind of things. (Please, if you are a firm believer in the bridal clutch, leave me a comment and prove me wrong, because I need an excuse to buy this: )

Ha ha… The point of the bridal clutch is to me the point of the going-out clutch: do I really want to bug my partner for my lip gloss every time I go into the bathroom? But nope, it won’t be photographed and will probably be under your chair most of the time at the reception. So by all means, then, it should be cute and colorful – otherwise you’ll never use it again, and that would be a waste. Which is to say that the yellow J. Crew clutch should already be in your shopping cart.
None of these things are necessary in the least bit.

I don’t think you need a bridal clutch, but if you want one, you should buy something versatile enough to use again. How about making sure your dress has pockets? That way, you can always stash that extra lip gloss. Happy Wedding Planning!
