mismatched..
This is one of those “she should listen to her own advice” kinds of posts. I am a full supporter of miss matched bridesmaid dresses. Well, I was, until I saw this picture:
Now I am not so sure, at least with the grey dresses… maybe I m being anal… and it isn’t that I don’t trust my maids fashion sense, but what if the dresses all don’t look good together?? Hmm…

but you know, as long as you don’t end up with netty wing things, you’ll probably be fine. and you can always veto a particularly hideous one. i think.
I agree with this issue as well. I desperately want to have my bridesmaids choose their own dresses, but I have no idea how to go about doing that! Are you 100% set on grey? That might be a little harder to find matching shades of grey, maybe??

Since I have so many girls (7) there is a good chance that one will find a super cute dress after a few others have bought theirs, and then the rest of the girls will get the cute dress, so not all of them will have their own style… ugh. And Brittany, I am pretty set on grey, but who knows… I have an inquiry in with my aunts seamstress about making custom dresses, so I will let you all know how that goes 
I think the grey will be lovely and custom dresses would alleviate any style/color stresses especially with 7 maids.
I actually really like the look of the mismatched bridesmaids – even the grey ones above. I think it adds that personal touch (stopping your wedding from being the cookie cutter variety) and helps make your best friends’ personalities be part of that public celebration because weddings are not only about the couple, but also about their dearest friends and family. As a bonus, with 7 maids, the on mass, yet mismatched, grey, will really blend well.
Lindel that is a good point.. with 7 maids maybe mismatched would look like that is how it is supposed to be. Maybe the more the better on that… hmmm. Still no wings though. As Bryan would say, catholics don’t do wings.
Ohhhh… I love those dresses! Those girls are rocking their own personalities. And while they may not be the personalities of your girls, I’m sure you love your maids for exactly who they are. So… no fear!
