Still Need to Book:
Florist
Engagement Encounter
I’m not sure why I am putting off booking the florist. Part of me feels like this isn’t something that needs to be done right away. Part of me feels like I know nothing about flowers, so finding the right florist for the right price is going to take some research, and a few meetings. Not so keen on the meetings part. I should just get over it though, I think I know exactly what I want. And I think we are going to do our own centerpieces (in an effort to save money, however the time factor may cause me to just hand this over to a professional) So really the florist would only be doing our bouquets, which I think I want to look like this:

(from here)
Just a bunch of white Ranunculus, with the same for the bridesmaids, only smaller, and possibly mixed with marigold colored ones. With marigold colored ones for the guys. Here is another option.
Here are some pictures of the look I want for the centerpieces:

(all from Martha)
Simple. Simple. Simple. I know that creating these centerpieces wouldn’t be so hard… it is more of the creating centerpieces while baking cookies for the favors part… and the who is going to set them all up the morning of part.

I’ve been putting off the flowers, too… mainly because I think it might be weird to book so far in advance, and I keep changing what I want. You could easily do the centerpieces. Every wedding I’ve been to in the past three years, the centerpieces were done by the bride and her friends/family. Time could be an issue, but you can always do them on Thursday night. Love that bouquet!
Delegation is fun word to say and a great activity to do. If you are organized about everything. If you have have laid out in advance what you want – maybe do a trial run with fake flowers or props and take a photo – just hand it off to someone else on the day off. You may also want to ask the manager at your event facility if they can set it up with your instructions.
