We Met in a Bar

the dress

I could be wrong, but I believe this is a Pronovias dress. It is absolutely gorgeous. This is the one wedding item that the bride brought over with her (she and her husband are doctors in London). Shot by him.

the hair

As promised, this gorgeous wedding shot by Matthew Morgan, edited by me. First, her hair. It is definitely going in my hair inspiration folder. I love seeing what it takes to make a hair do :) Keep checking back today for more, I have about 4 or so posts on this wedding.

question.

Where did you buy your, um, undergarments for your big day? The best place I have seen is here. But it is also the only place I have seen.

Thanks :)

Also, get ready for the pictures form the real wedding tomorrow, they are a must see!

Shoes!

So the first pair of shoes I ordered from endless came, and they are definitely a front runner.

They are comfortable, and fit. Well, my mom says the gap in the back bothers her, but my heels don’t slide out and I think a half size smaller would be to tight… They aren’t the strappy feminine ones I was wanting (those come next week), but they are really cute.  Thanks to endless.com I have about another 360 days to return them, so we will see :)

So sorry

(I am listening to So Sorry by Feist. I love starting my morning with her)

But I am sorry, I don’t have the real wedding for you today. I got home last night, put the images together, got them all post ready, and then decided that bed, and the brownies I had just made, were calling my name. I may post a few when I go home for lunch, but most likely it will show it’s pretty head tomorrow :) Sorry.

For now I will say that right now I kid of wish I lived where it was cold and fall/winter-like. Like this.

It is supposed to be 80 degrees here today. Good news is that I get a few more chances to wear my corduroy skirt. Bad news is that it is only a few weeks from Thanksgiving and I like to start wearing sweaters and tights around thanksgiving… oh well.

update: the save the dates I designed for my friend were posted on Brooklyn Bride! Yay! See them here!

update 2: I have updated my About page with my info, including an email address :)

because i know you want to know

what i am thinking about my wedding at every moment. I have decided. I am going to design my own envelope liners. We have found a few we like.

But none worth the money they are charging. So, I will attempt my own. It can’t be that hard, right?

teaser…

… from the wedding i just finished editing. A couple from across the pond got married here in Dana Point and everything from the hair to the dress to the couple shots are crave worthy. Here is just a teaser for you while I get the rest of the posts ready, should have them to you in the next day or so :)

shot by him, of course.

Oh, I am also working on getting a special blog email address for anyone who wants to contact me! You know, to send me real weddings, request topics, ask me about invites or just to say hi! :) Thanks again to all of my readers, I really appreciate knowing that people come here to see what I have to say (or maybe just the pictures I have to show) and I love love love every comment I get. This blogging community has helped me so much already in my wedding planning, and I can only hope that my blog helps some of you out there too :)

expert? if you say so :)

Well what do you know, I was chosen as a ‘wedding expert’ for Wishpot!  If you don’t have a (free) Wishpot account… get one!  It is addictive though!  You can see my profile here.  Wishpot is a site where you can create a wedding registry that pulls from any and all websites. We are registered elsewhere, so I can’t give a yay or nay to their registry system, but what I can give a huge yay to is their wish list system. So far I have three, one for clothes, one for home and one for possible bridesmaid gifts. They make it super easy to add anything, and I use them more as lists I can go back to later. If you are anything like me, you find and bookmark cute things all the time, and my “fun” folder is way too long! This way you can add it to a list, prioritize it, and if you want, show it to others so they know, say, what you want for christmas.  There are a lot of other bloggers on there, and it is fun to see their lists :)

Check it out! And thanks Wishpot for making me an expert blogger :)
