We Met in a Bar

I have told my maids that they can wear whatever shoes they would like on the big day. But I am thinking maybe I should narrow it down to a few color choices? Just to be kind of consistent?  My maids will be wearing this dress:

I like the silver look… The guys will all be in black tuxes, but would black heels look too dark? Am I just way over-thinking this? (Bryan, don’t answer that!)  What do you think would look best? 

Speaking of shoes and colors, I love this look, found on Ritzy Bee.

Oh aaand, I received my refund from Zappos today (mean emails really do work! ;) ) which means I am stopping by the mall to look at a few pairs of shoes! Hopefully I can find some so that I will have them for my fitting on friday! I am heading straight to BCBG to try these beauties on:

Since you’re wearing gold shoes, what about a bronze-y gold for the girls? I love nude shoes, too… and of course pops of color (orange? we all wore strappy orange shoes for a girlfriend’s wedding and they looked great).

I think black can be tricky if you’re not selecting shoes, because you’d hate for someone to show up in something that’s too heavy. Maybe you could narrow it down to strappy black, matte finish, non-platform sole, etc.

Those are super cute! Black could be cute too if they’re not in the clunky category (don’t know if that makes sense)… like strappy or a d’orsay.

I mean, you’ve got consistency with the dress… and unless you’ve got maids with super awful taste (which I bet you don’t) then maybe give them a little freedom so 1)they get to add a little of their own pizzazz to the outfit and a teeny bit of their personality shines through 2) they can save some cash if they have shoes they already want to wear 3) you don’t have to sweat about it.

But that’s just my opinion… ;) good luck and I LOVE the dress!

i dont think that black would be too dark, but i was thinking the same thing as maggie, above, that they might look good in a bronzy gold!

I love the multicolored shoes in the Ritzy Bee picture.
