nope
Is it possible to have too many pictures of my ring? The answer to that question my friends is: no. I love it. It is shiny and gorgeous and filled with the history of a woman on my soon-to-be family tree. Still a tiny bit too big (darn you skinny fingers!) so I may wear my original ring in front of it, but I don’t really like the look of the two together… we shall see. Ok, to the pictures!

I’ll stop now. I know when enough is enough. (Not really cause I am staring at it right now…)

ok i’ll stop staring… but it’s BEAUTIFUL! it made me a little teary eyed because my mom gave me a really similar ring that belonged to her mom a few years ago and it’s gone. i think it was stolen and I feel so guilty about it.
on the plus side, my mom has this cool, 70s gold band that she wore as her wedding band when she worked as a nurse and she’s given it to me to use as my “work band” as well. so i’ll have a little piece of history too, which makes it so much more meaningful.
HeAtHeR!!!!!!
It is so gorgeous! I am so so o so sos so so so so soso so so soso happy for you!
awwww… so pretty! it’s kinda like you get to experience the glee of getting engaged all over again!
It’s gorgeous! Rings w/ history are THE best.
Your ring is so pretty! Isn’t it amazing how much time you can waste staring at your hand? Congrats!
Ha! So fun to see how much you’re loving it!!!
I’m impressed with your hand photo skills. Every picture I tried to take of my ring was terrible — my hands looked scary and dry and ugly, causing me to immediately delete them! You have done a much better job with yours.
my ring looks A LOT like yours… but it’s not an heirloom. just antique. anway, PLEASE keep sharing your weddingband ideas. i’m STRUGGLING to find something i think will go with mine….
You are so funny, and this post sounds exactly like something I may be doing in a week or so when I get my ring!
It is beautiful, and the history of it makes it even more so! So happy you love it so much!
I can’t stop looking at it myself! It’s gorgeous!
So weird, but that ring looks exactly like my great grandmother’s! (Which I wore while having the band on mine fixed).
Gorgeous ring, very pretty! Aww, congratulations – love your blog, so glad I found it today, can’t wait to read more. Keep up the great posts, lady!
Cheers,
Jaime
Not sure if you read comments on old posts, but your ring is gorgeous. My great-aunt’s engagement ring is similar to yours, and I always coveted it. Your glee is so wonderful to read about. (But I also loved the original engagement ring. I have the same one with an emerald. Sometimes when I’m on call at the hospital, I wear my emerald instead of my engagement ring. It is a perfect ring – perfect heft, perfect taste.)
anna: What a great idea! I am not a doctor, but the original ring would be great for times like at the beach or working out. It doesn’t fit any of my other fingers so I have been worried about what I would do with it!
Love your ring- it’s gorgeous!
wow! it does look like mine! I thought mine was from the 20s but maybe it is 40s. Either way I know it’s antique and I looooooove it!
