We Met in a Bar

the shoes

well, at least for now. I needed to buy my wedding shoes by December 15th, in time for my second fitting. Who knew finding the perfect shoes would be this difficult. I found these at Bandolino, and am 75% sure about them. I know that I love them for every day life, and that I want my wedding shoes to be something I will wear again…  I am not sure how the color will work with my dress. They are a greyish gold, gold being the color I decided went best with my dress (did you know that 90% of gold shoes are hideous?!) and grey being one of our colors… We will see. They are safely in their box with the receipt incase they don’t work out.

Heather, those are great shoes. I love them! Where did you find them?

Heather, those are HOT! My only reservation is if they will match your dress? Shopping can be frustrating – why is it that whenever you need a specific item you can’t find it. But when you are just “browsing” you find tons of stuff you want. At least, that’s how I always feel. Your quest for the perfect shoes may have ended with these!! Let us know what you ultimately choose! :)

Kate: I got them at Bandolino!
Carly: Yeah, the matching is what I am afraid off… I will have to wait a few more weeks until my next fitting so if they don’t match I will just return them and the hunt will continue. The only issue is that now my dress is altered to fit a 3.5 inch heel, so that does limit my options… oh well, what can you do? :)

Oooo I concur! 90% of gold shoes really are hideous…I have been searching in vain for a while now myself. At any rate, I love those shoes!

isn’t it funny, gold is such a universal, gorgeous, tactful color choice… yet almost 100% of all gold shoes are HIDEOUS! Take a pic at your fitting with them peeking out the bottom, i bet they’ll be gorgeous!

Gold shoes are SO hideous. What was even worse about the gold ones I had to find was that they had to have a low heel (I was tall enough that even two inches of heel would have made my dress too short). So imagine trying to find CUTE low gold heels. Ick. I ended up with some Nina’s that weren’t great but did the job.

katy: oh yeah, gold AND low heel… I feel for you! Luckily not too many guests notice shoes, right?! :)

[...] I had my second fitting last night The bustle is gorgeous and surprisingly very easy to do, and the shoes look good with it! Bad news is they are a half size too small, but that is easily [...]
