Dude. I don’t know where you live (and if it somewhere where it gets below zero outside, skip to the next paragraph) but it is flippen freezing outside! Like, less than 50 degrees out freezing. I can’t feel my hands or my toes. I don’t think it should be allowed to get this cold without at least giving us some snow. But that is just me 
Ok. So it is a new year With the craziness that was the holidays, I kind of put wedding planning on the back burner, and now is the time to start it up again. Here are some things I am thinking about right now.
I need to call florists this week.
May be kicking the homemade cookie favor idea to keep us sane. Now what?
Can we do this? And where would we put them?
I need to talk to our reception venue coordinator about brining in my own napkins and or coasters.
Maybe these for my maids?
I like this makeup.
We need to create a cool map.
The guy from the gelato company has not gotten back to me in about 2 months. I emailed his boss last week. We have decided to give them until the end of the month to communicate with us. If they don’t (we will be bummed cause a gelato cart would be awesome) we may go this route (which would cost half as much

I need to follow your lead on the florals. I don’t know why I’ve been putting it off.
You could skip the favors completely. The last three weddings I went didn’t have any… and I didn’t even notice until much later.

I picked up a few different cake plates for our dessert table… still undecided on cookies or cupcakes in addition to the cake… or nothing at all.
Good for you on creating a list! I am trying to act like I have nothing to do… it’s not really working.
Those earrings are beautiful! Your maids will love them. And yes, you CAN do the hanging floral monograms. Use carnations (save $$) and buy some floral foam and practice. You’ll see how it’s easier than you think. Good luck with your list–back to reality, right?

yah, it was -3 here this a.m. (Minneapolis, MN). Last Sunday, it was 37 degrees out (hello, heat wave!). it felt so warm, I ran errands w/out a jacket. But I know < 50 degrees is cold for you CA folks! Here’s hoping we all get some warmer weather soon!

Oh, Heather… this makes me laugh because the person I called about florals told me to call in May. I was a bit skeptical, but now that I hear you say that, I’m not as worried. My friend gave me the name of the person who did her flowers… and she lives out of her home, as well. I am thinking that might be the best bet!
And, I definitely don’t want to one-up you on the temp. I’d rather it be 50!!!
