We Met in a Bar

no favor for you!

What are your opinions on not giving out favors? I am thinking maybe no favors, and instead getting these (or maybe the orange ones to go more with the color theme) and having the guests greeted by waiters with trays of them when they arrive at the reception. (sneaky idea: this will give them something to drink to hold them off going to the bar for at least a few minutes :) )

(from here)

So what do you think? Tacky to skip the favor or something the guests won’t notice?

Steve will like those.

They won’t notice!! Love this idea. You could try IZZEs, too. I know they have boxes of them at Costco, and they probably have them at Sam’s, too.

I love the orange ones…so good! But…some people will notice there aren’t any favors. Will they be sad/mad? Probably not. If they appreciate how special your wedding is, they won’t even think twice. I rather get an s. pelligrino araciata upon arrival, than a truffle I’ll eat in 2 sec. Know what I mean?

I love the limonata and aranciata sodas, and had a post about them a while ago. While I think the glass bottles are very elegant, have you seen the cans? They are really cute and colorful. Would look so so neat clustered together on a white tablecloth!

What’s the difference between a refreshing drink and a tasty treat? I say go for it!

Of course do it! Better than a silly box of m&m’s or an ugly candle.

All the favors I’ve ever received from weddings are too personalized or impractical to ever be used again anyway. I’m thinking about following your footsteps and distributing locally manufactured chips and pop as a late night snack.

Great idea, and no I don’t think it’s tacky to not do favors. I don’t remember a single wedding favor I’ve gotten…except cookies, which were, well, cookies.

I’ve been told by several friends who have gotten married already that the favors are the biggest waste of money. Cute, but still, a waste.

L and I are considering giving to a charity in lieu of favors.

San Pelligrino Aranciata soda is incredible. Also, the cans are stunning. The bottles are probably a bit classier (especially the image you showed) but you should def look at the cans too.

They so won’t notice…we’re going to pass out trays of bottled cokes at the end of the night….

Who likes favors anyway? Unless they are edible or drinkable! These are perfect-great way to add color! Think of the photos!

definitely agree with everyone elses comments! i (sadly) have ended up throwing away useless favors from a few weddings. we’ve settled for our photobooth & a small candy bar.

I agree with the comments as well. Favors are over-rated. The only ones I’ve actually held onto are when the couple makes a CD of their fave music. All other favors were left on the table or forgotten.

I just had my first Sanpellegrino last night! So random to pull up your site & see them a pic of it this am. It was so, so yummy!! Awesome idea!

I LOVE that idea. I had decided to skip favors as well, but this is a great, creative way to give a “favor” that the guests will enjoy.
