I am not saying living together before marriage is a good thing, I am just saying that I am tired of hearing that I have a higher chance of getting divorced. Read the article.

Amen, girl. Just shy of four months married, just over two years into cohabitating, I feel like I made the right decision.
There are just some things a girl should now before she makes that commitment. Like his inability to put dirty socks in a hamper. It will just make her love him more.

Girls: seriously! Sure, our decision was mostly financial, and yes, part of me wishes we didn’t live together before marriage, but now that we are here… I am glad that we did what we did. And yeah, Bryan’s boxers never seem to make it to the hamper… but rather than be annoyed I just smile, pick them up and put them in the hamper… easy as that.

oh crap that doesn’t help me none (co-habitated with ex too). but then, we broke ALL the rules. i rushed from one relationship into the next, got engaged after only 3 months etc etc. and i’m still putting all my bets on my marriage!

redframe: oh that quote is a good one too! Every time someone would say that 50% of people living together before marriage got divorced I would think to myself that thought exactly. That we (being an engaged couple who then moved in together) shouldn’t be in the same group as people who just live together with no form of long term commitment

Since I had to move home with my parents I hate not living with E and having him around. It sucks to go backwards!
I’ve read research indicating the opposite, but I’m banking on this study being the truth! They also say that the older you are when you marry, the better your odds of staying married… Guess I’ve got that in my favor as well.
