I got a few comments on the purple bridesmaid dresses so I contacted the bride. You are going to love me for this. They are from Davids Bridal :) Here are a few more pictures, all shot by Matthew Morgan and edited by me:

Thanks!! It’s so pretty. Might not work for me because we are doing a cold weather winter wedding so I don’t know if the material is appropriate, but I love them still!

But I’m more interested in the bride’s dress!!! Where did she find it; certainly not at David’s?

Rachel: i believe it was… i will have to see if i still have the image of the dress hanging where I can see the strap, but I vaguely remember it saying monique luo…

Not sure if anyone will read this, as the last post was from well over a year ago, but the color is called “lapis” and is available in many different styles and fabrics. I picked the color for my 10/30/09 wedding because I liked purple (still do), there are David’s Bridal stores everywhere (I wanted to make things as cheap and easy as possible for my bridesmaids), and the dark purple was perfect with all the other wedding details (hubby and his boys each wore a different dark purple tie). Each bridesmaid picked a different style (I really didn’t care what style they went with, just as long as they felt beautiful :) and I was pleasantly surprised on my wedding day–they were all so beautiful in what turned out to be a universally flattering color. I’ve been to four “purple” weddings since my own, and I’m still completely smitten with the color!
