We Met in a Bar

you only do this once!

So last night Samantha (little sister/MOH) and I went to a small bridal show at a local restaurant.  Not so bad you may think, but I don’t need any vendors. ANY. But who could say no to free food, wine, and cake?!  Tasting the cake almost made me want a big wedding cake. Almost.

Other than that the event was so so. Spoke with the Cookie Lee lady about appropriate Catholic Church jewelry (it was not appropriate), was told by the videographer that I would totally regret not having a video of my wedding. I told him his fee was 1/5 of my total budget. Was told by the skin care guy that good skin wasn’t important for the wedding, it was important for the honeymoon…

Oh well, free food and people congratulating m all night was worth it :)

The wedding industry really can be too much, can’t it… Someone’s always trying to convince you that you NEED this or that for your day to be perfect. Bah! All we really need for our ‘big day’ to be perfect is that amazing man in our lives, friends & family… the rest are just lovely accents :)

I might have you beat… I went to a bridal show with a friend a couple of weeks ago. Neither of us is getting married! Then again, another friend was going to come with us but couldn’t make it at the last minute, so I was gathering some information for her.

Glad to hear you had a better time than I did at the wedding show I went to! Some vendors are just so frustrating.

Wait… fill me in on “appropriate Catholic jewelry.” I had no idea there was a distinction!
