I showed you where I work when I am at home, and now you get to see where I work when I am at work
The space still needs a few things though…

I think I may have to purchase a few of these lovely additions…

whew

This weekend flew by! Friday night Bryan took me to an early birthday dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants, Vine. It was deeeelicous. Then Saturday started early with my mom and sister picking me up at 8:15 to head up to LA. I scored some marigold tissue paper and foam balls at a pretty steep discount and 20 huge tulips for $10. All in all it was a success. However, we didn’t get home until 4:30 and with the party starting at 7 the next few hours flew by! The party was a success, most of my friends were able to make it on such short notice and somehow our little apartment fit everyone! Oh, and the cake that we ordered was awesome and it got a strong thumbs up from everyone to include it at the wedding! Thank you to those who left me early birthday wishes! Tomorrow I will be 25… holy moly. I like to complain to Bryan that I am getting old, especially since he is, well, older than me
I wanted to get some pictures of the finished kids activity books up today but it just didn’t happen so hopefully I will get those up this week
Happy Monday!

working for the weekend :)
Yay for being Friday!! I am excited for this weekend because it brings not only a shopping trip in LA’s wholesale district but it also brings my birthday party! That’s right lovely readers, my birthday is coming up. It actually isn’t until Tuesday (yes, St. Patrick’s day, I have the BEST birthday ever!) but you can’t have a party on a tuesday
Of course I sent out a little invitation, tooted my own horn a little i think, but I only sent it as a PDF because I didn’t plan it until Sunday
It is pretty plain but it took me all of 5 minutes so…

I am thinking some peach and pink decorations… we will see. Is it weird to throw myself a birthday party and to decorate and everything? Oh well, no one else was gonna do it…
Oh, and we are ordering a cake from the bakery that we will be getting our wedding cakes from, granted the cake is good, so I am excited!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend, don’t get into too much trouble and I will see you back here Monday!

501
I always tell myself I will do a contest or something fun for my big posts. Well, turns out the veil post was number 500. woo hoo.
anyways, this is number 501 (yay!) and it is all about the maids. Kind of.
I am struggling over what to get my bridesmaids. Jewelry? A clutch? If it was me I would want personalized letter-pressed stationary. But that is just me. And apparently not everyone is infatuated with letterpress (I know, I was surprised too). I’ve got a pretty good list going on my wishpot right about now. You can see it here. Some of my favorite choices right now are…

So many choices… Wishpot is great for making lists like these. I also have lists for me, around the house, things to wear (yes it is all J. Crew, I know
). It is good for lists. Although I will say it isn’t the best for using as a wish list/registry type of thing because you have to be a registered member in order to have it pop up that you purchased anything. Or something like that. We will just say that I got the same sweater from both my mother and my future mother in law because one of them wasn’t a registered member so she couldn’t see that it had been bought. Or something like that. Whatever. Basically, it is WONDERFUL for making lists

veil
Saturday my mom, my sisters, my moms friend and I are going to LA to hit up the flower mart, the fabric store and the giant Michael’s-ish store. I am super excited. My mom will be looking for material for my veil
Today she sent me some pictures of veil pattern coers and I fell in love with the look of this one. Look at the little hat things. So old school. Me? I will be sticking with a cathedral length veil, simple, without lace or anything sparkly, and a blusher. Because for whatever reason I really want to have one

LOVE. IT.
Calligraphy is nice, sure. It is pretty, it is romantic, it is great. But it isn’t my style. If I had the budget for envelope addressing I would give all of my money to Danielle over at Galafont.

The architectural style is my absolute favorite. If I could have any kind of handwriting, this would be it.

Seriously, check out Danielle’s work. It is awesome. Plus she will write on just about anything you give her… just imagine the menus and seating charts and place cards… oh imagine it.

sofia…
… was my name in spanish class
And then when I worked as a server and the bussers and cooks would have a hard time pronouncing ‘Heather’ I told them to call me Sofia. So maybe i just like the name. Maybe it is the pink cans. Maybe I just love champagne. Whatever it is, I love it!
