Progress
With 3 months to go I am in full on DIY mode. Not a day goes by that I don’t fold a few tissue paper flowers or open my ‘To-Do’ list. I am not going to lie, I feel a little stress, but only because this is really happening and there are things that need to get done. I try and remind myself that if I were to not do a single thing from today until July 18th, I would still have a dress that fits, a priest to marry us, and a restaurant to feed us. Basically, no matter what, the basics are done, taken care of, nothing to worry about. It is things like decorations and the little details that only myself and a few others will notice that I am worrying about now.
This weekend involved working on a few different wedding projects.
Testing out different mixtures of my ink to find just the right color for the napkins:

Folding a ton of tissue paper flowers and photographing it along the way (once I complete one I will do a how-to post
) :

Aaaand, we went to Paper Source to get the paper for our invitations! I printed the invites and the RSVP’s. All that is left is the directions card and labels and we will be set! I have given myself a May 1st deadline for getting them done… We will see how that goes

How was your weekend?! Productive? Lazy? Busy? I vote for 3 day weekends every weekend… I am pretty sure no matter how your weekend went, you wish you had just one more day, I know I do

everything looks great!!
Everything looks wonderful and I love the colors in the top pic. Good luck in the coming weeks as you work your list. The flowers look great too. You crafty lady!
Yikes… seeing your three-month mark reminds me that mine is just around the corner, too. I feel like I’ve got a bajillion things to do. It looks like you’re rocking it all out! I wish I were creative enough to DIY our invites. Those rock.
The final three months go by so quickly, but you obviously have the right attitude… I kept reminding myself that should things go wrong (dress gets ruined or stolen, I was a paranoid cynic), it would only make for better stories. All your little extras are so lovely though, it’s going to be stunning!
The flower’s looking great, I’m looking forward to seeing the tutorial! How are you coloring the napkins? I just started reading your blog so must have missed that…
I can’t seem to completely get rid of that slight naggin feeling on anxiety with my wedding just a hair over 2 months away…all the little things to-do!
*nagging
I’m five months out and I check my to-do list every day! But then I never accomplish much of it. I think I must *like* making myself anxious. Ha!
My weekend was lazy. I’m falling behind on my checklist. I seem to do best when I tackly multiple things in one weekend, and then take the next weekend or two off. Well, maybe that’s not best, but that’s how I roll. lol
I second your motion for three day weekends every week!!
Hey Heather!
Your projects look like they are coming along great! What type of printer did you use for your invites?
oh and thanks for your Yudu info… I went and checked it out this weekend and you were right- huge!
Your tissue paper flowers are ADORABLE! I can’t wait to see your how-to post.
Ladies! Thank you for the kind words! I am feeling the pressure of living up to all of the hype I am putting out there
Mary: I will used my Epson Stylus Photo R220 for my invites. I have had it for years and i love it. SInce it is a photo printer it prints border less for about 5 different sizes which definitely comes in handy!
again. wow.
