We Met in a Bar

do the math

I have made 108 tissue paper flowers.

I have 4 medium sized styrofoam balls.

I have 4 small styrofoam balls.

4 medium @ 18 flowers each = 72

4 small @ 15 flowers each = 60

Total flowers needed: 132

Total flowers I will make, just to be sure =150

Flowers needed: 42

Totally doable.

Okay, so now that you’ve done 108 of these suckers, you’ll appreciate this – for our wedding, my husband and I made 10 total large pomanders, each of which required approximately 40 tissue paper flowers. That’s 400 total tissue paper flowers. One of our cats also managed to ruin a couple dozen halfway through the process – so in totally we probably made about 500 tissue paper flowers. 500!

It was complete madness. We folded those suckers for probably about a month straight, up until a few days before our wedding. So yeah. Loved them during the wedding – but I’m never doing that again!

Hi Heather! You can completely do it. Just make sure and put on some great music to keep you enjoying the process. Best of luck! They’ll be beautiful.

For my friends wedding, we folded for a year out- they were paper flowers, not pom flowers, but oh, my, Lord. People flipped out about them though, the whole reception was talking about them. Totally worth it. I can’t wait to see the pictures, I’m sure they will look awesome!
