Happy (soon to be) Friday!!

I am excited for this weekend. Saturday morning we are meeting with our priest (woo hoo) and then heading down to San Diego for a little history at the Midway. Sunday will probably be spent gocco’ing napkins. There will most definitely be more tissue paper flowers made. And I will stop by J. Crew to buy one of these:

To add to my grandmothers wedding dress:

To possibly wear to the rehearsal dinner.  It is a gorgeous dress, and it fits me perfectly. I would hate to not take the opportunity to honor my grandmother and wear it to something. We shall see. 

I want to get some better pictures of my invitation suite for you which means waiting until this weekend so that I can get some good light in the apartment.  Here is another little sneak peak. A digital image of our Save the Date, Invitation and the front of the RSVP card.  I must have changed the design of the elements a million times, but after all is said and done I am 100% happy with how everything came out. (And no, you can’t click to make it bigger. I didn’t want to have to blur out/change the details and you can still get the gist of it at this size )

I want to get back into sewing. Not that I did it alot before, but I did it a little, which is more than I do now. Problem is, I don’t have a sewing machine. So I need your advice, because I know some of you own your own machine and have opinions   I don’t need anything crazy like what Martha uses or anything, just something I can make simple clothes with for the little kiddos that will one day rule my life. And maybe a few things for me too   So, fire away ladies, what should I get?!

I bought some of these today from handle and spout in white. They supposedly come in different shades and sizes, which works because my dress is ivory

Things are getting done, my to-do list is is getting shorter, and I made 10 flowers tonight Whew.

This bouquet has just enough pop of color.

I have made 108 tissue paper flowers.

I have 4 medium sized styrofoam balls.

I have 4 small styrofoam balls.

4 medium @ 18 flowers each = 72

4 small @ 15 flowers each = 60

Total flowers needed: 132

Total flowers I will make, just to be sure =150

Flowers needed: 42

Totally doable.

I need one more day off. Tomorrow can’t be Monday already… can it? Ugh.  The weekend went by so quickly.  We went up to Ventura for a memorial, had dinner on the pier and then I spent a good portion of today shopping and then eating at my moms house. A weekend full of good things, but a busy one. I now need a day of rest. Let me get to the stuff you are interested in before I bore myself, and you, with more boring details

We got our first RSVP back today ! (And it wasn’t from my mother! we were surprised ) 1 down, 50 to go. Here is another sneak peak of the invite suite getting ready to go in the envelope. I will post the whole thing next week once I am sure everyone got theirs.

So…  I am SUPER excited about how our wedding is turning out. 

However. I am in love with this one, and it is super similar, but a little more chic. But then again, chic is not what we are going for. We are going for simple, fun, clean, bright and happy. But if we wanted chic, this entire wedding would be in my inspiration folder!
