peacocks
I never did understand why peacocks were in zoos. Why? Because my grandparents raised them, in their backyard. Heck. Yes. You want proof?

So when I got my bridal shower invite in the mail and it was peacock themed, well, I was excited to say the least
My mom and sister handmade these. Now you see where I get my creativity from!

The awesome stamps.

Thanks mom! Thanks Sam! I can’t wait!!
PS they also had chickens and sheep
It’s kind of hard to see but that is my mom feeding the sheep in the lower right corner.

i’ve always felt the same way about deer in zoos. like really? deer? they’re in my backyard eating my old bread every morning!
bridal shower invites are adorable! did they use a stamp for the love, or hand write that?
holly: it was a stamp
Oh my gosh!! We had a peacock in our back yard growing up too!!! How freakin funny!
Love the invites!
love love love!
haha, my grandma’s neighbor raised them and they would always wonder around the neighborhood… i remember chasing them hoping somehow to get a feather (mean, i know!) those invites are gooooorgeous! great job mom and sis!
The invites look fantastic! Props to mom and sis!
We have peacocks at my grandparents ranch in Brasil. =)
Very cool!
First off, those invites are gorgeous!
Secondly, as a child I lived across the street from a farm which had one lonely peacock. He fell in love with our one lonely chicken and used to come over daily to impress her!
I remember those peacocks, they were mean!
The invitations are beautiful!
I would love to have peacocks in the backyard! … sadly, so would my cats.

HAHA! You should see the ridiculous zoo we have out here! They have, I kid you not, gophers (we live on the prairies!), a crow (yep, just one), a disabled meerkat, a balding camel, chickens, goats, rabbits… Basically it’s like my mother-in-law’s yard, but with a merry go round! To be honest, sometimes I think we’ve got cooler animals on the farm. We just got pygmie goats and ostrichs (polar opposites, huh?!) Thanks goodness I didn’t end up with ostrich-themed invites! lol!
