loose and easy
My cousin Mariah graduated today (congrats Mariah!) and afterwards when we went out to dinner my grandma shows up with 3 white cake stands to put cupcakes on. And wouldn’t you know it, 3 white cake stands are on my “to do/need” list! A few hours later and I am now at home with three gorgeous cake stands. I love it when things are easy.
Speaking of easy, I have to send my hair girl pictures of how my bridesmaids want their hair. This picture pretty much sums it up:

Oh and total side note, but I just finished reading My Sisters Keeper and the ending? Yeah, didn’t see that one coming. I am an easy crier, so the fact that I cried doesn’t say much, but still. I cried. Hard. UPDATE: Since a few of you have read it… Alec Baldwin is sooooo not who I was picturing as the lawyer.

baking par-tay
I saw these adorable cupcake liners a while ago at Cupcake Social and thought to myself, ‘those would be nice to have.’

And then Kristina pointed me to Bake it Pretty and oh.my.Lord. I need to have a baking party. Like, now. This very small sample of what you can get does not even do the site justice. You have to go and see it all.

I think the twisties are my favorite… or the ballerina toppers… or the peanut bags…

Jeep love
I don’t know what it is lately, but Jeeps seem to be in the air. My dad just bought one and now I see this! My cousin recently got engaged (yay!) and had engagement photos taken of her and her man 4-Wheeling in their beautiful home state of Alaska. How gorgeous are these photos?! You can see the rest of them over at Philip Casey’s blog.

Happy Monday
I want to say a quick thank you to all the girls who have given me awards and such lately. I appreciate all of you guys! I love seeing all the new blogs pop up. We have definitely hit wedding season and a lot of brides that I follow have gotten married or are getting married, and a whole new batch of bridal bloggers is popping up. If you are a new blogger please leave a comment with a link to your blog, I would love to see it!
So, Bryan’s ring came in the other day!
We went with a Titanium ring that I bought from Etsy seller Zoe and Doyle. It is a little thinner than this one:

At first I felt weird about buying his ring online. I would have rather bought it from a well known store, but the selection for mens rings was never very extensive, and their titanium rings cost upwards of $250. We knew we wanted Titanium, because of how light it is so I went onto etsy and started looking around. I bought Bryan’s for $60, which I figured was cheap enough that if we got it and it wasn’t good quality, or that if in 3 years he decided he didn’t like it anymore, I could just buy him a new one. Luckily, it is of great quality and he really seems to like it! Plus it is supporting a person doing what they love, rather than a big box store
If you are still looking your your guys ring I definitely recommend Zoe and Doyle. Here are a few more of their rings:

whatzilla?
They have done it again. These someecards happen to be sponsored by the new show ‘bridezillas’ and all I can say is I hope they keep coming up with them. Although, on a side note, I hate the word bridezilla and the fact that we have to be labeled that, even when we aren’t.
ok, back to the card.

life
is getting busy. I am editing a few weddings in the upcoming weeks which is good for my bank account (anyone else notice that the closer you get to the wedding the easier money comes out of your wallet?!) but not so good for blogging, so please forgive me if blogging is light the next few weeks. I have a bunch of DIY stuff to do on the weekends so I will for sure keep you up to date on those! Meanwhile….
Did you see the new Style Me Pretty?
Or the new Once Wed? (I love love love what they did!)
And if you have a moment, go watch this improv everywhere ’surprise reception’ video. It just makes me so happy. For reasons unknown to us this couple chose a courthouse ceremony, and improve everywhere threw them a full blown reception. Warms my heart.
