We Met in a Bar

blessed

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and if you don’t celebrate it, then a wonderful holiday!  The last week flew by, and I am back to work this week until Wednesday. We are playing with the idea of going up to San Luis Obispo for New Years… but we will see.

I wanted to share a few of the gifts I received for Christmas with you (only because I was so stoked to receive them!) My family was incredibly blessed this year to be almost completely untouched by the terrible economy. Other than my month long stint as an unemployed house-fiance, we were all employed. I know that the Lord was watching over us, and I give Him all of the credit for our good fortune.

Some of the gifts I received from my wonderful family:

The 2010 Linda & Harriett calendar (my sister scooped one up before they sold out!)

ideas

We have one wall in our office painted bright yellow and have been trying to figure out what to put on it. If  the wall was black/grey, this idea would be at the top of our list!

monday!

Usually the word Monday is not followed by a !. But today is the Monday! before Christmas, and that is exciting!  Bryan and I will be staying in (unusually warm) California this year, and although we are sad that we were unable to fly back East to see his family (for work reasons) this whole snow storm has made us a little bit grateful.  I would love a white Christmas, but I would not love being stuck in an airport.

Here is a little sneak peak into the first Harney Christmas:

Our bedroom is the only room we have not ‘decorated’ so far. It is picture-less, curtain-less, style-less. Ugh. I am drawn to this room right now:

Better late… maybe?

Good morning!

So, I was a bad blogger last week. We had a Christmas/house warming party Saturday night so between getting the place ready for that and prepping for Christmas in general, I had to prioritize and blogging just didn’t make the cut. Sorry! But now I am back, and have a little recap from last weekends trip to Unique LA. I had a great time and will most definitely be back next year! Here were some of my favorite booths:

SucculentLOVE (although I didn’t buy anything because I know I can make these myself.. it is just a matter of finding the time!)

I know I am leaving so many others out, but this is enough for now! Again, it was for sure a show I will go to next year and would encourage anyone in the LA/OC area to do the same!

Decorating our first tree

This weekend went by too fast! Unique LA was great, and I will try to do a post on that soon. But right now it is all about our first (real) christmas tree!  Our place smells like Christmas, and I couldn’t be happier! Enjoy the video if you wish, I mostly like it for the music.
