For a certain family member who has chosen to keep her baby’s gender a secret… a grey polka dot minky blanket!  I used this tutorial and have made two blankets so far. They are actually pretty easy!

I am loving the flower girls from Matthew Morgan’s latest wedding!

Has anyone seen/bought one of these? I am intrigued… but it may just be because of the ink packaging.

The other day I opened my mailbox to find a package from Germany (!!!) and before I even opened the present I was in love with it. The card… my oh my where did you find this card?

And then the gift!

I keep picturing you, searching through the pile of antique linens, in Germany, and it makes me smile.  And the fact that it says “Fresh Washing” in German is seriously amazing!  That is my kind of motto! The embroidery is gorgeous!  I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but I love it and will keep an eye out for the perfect place to display it.

Thank you Jo, this was a wonderful birthday present!  What I wouldn’t give to be with you in Germany to visit that flea market and to see your ever growing little family (and belly! I can’t believe you will have two little munchkins running around soon!).  I love!

Happy!(?) Monday. This weekend involved sewing, lacrosse, farmers market, “homemade” chocolate croissants (Thanks Trader Joe’s), a walk to the beach and family dinner (for a side dish I made these! mmm mmm good). I am sad to see the weekend go.
