We Met in a Bar

letterpress at home?

Has anyone seen/bought one of these? I am intrigued… but it may just be because of the ink packaging.

I saw this today and it also intrigues me. I wish paper source talked more about what it can do. I used my gocco a ton for all my wedding projects, but now I never use it because it was such a love-hate relationship. I’m wondering how user friendly this is.

I’ve been researching this for days! You can find lots of online demonstrations about how it works and an in-depth analysis on Paper Crave’s website. But it looks great, as long as you make your own plates, instead of using theirs! I’m wishing for one for my birthday–but you should definitely tell us all about it if you end up getting one!

I have one!! I’ve only used it once so far but it’s pretty cool! I got a custom plate made through their company too, but haven’t had a chance to test it out yet.

I have it bookmarked for when my birthday rolls around – which isn’t for quite a few months – so hopefully you will get it first and let us know if it is really a keeper…

Saw this at Hobby Lobby the other day and had to fight the urge to purchase it immediately.

I’ll de-lurk for this! :)

I have one! I haven’t used it too much yet, but it is super easy to use. Produces great results. The biggest thing is making your own plates… I haven’t done it yet, but it’s on my list of things to do whenihavetimetobreathe.

My biggest complaint is this: because of the size of the machine, you are limited to the size of paper you can print on. No big, beautiful letterpressed posters for me.

Even then, I still say it’s a keeper.

I’m intrigued too, what a fun hobby!

I love this, I’m definitely interested in hearing from someone who used one to make their invitations…did it save you money or wind up costing the same?

I’m also normally a lurker, but I got one of these this April (was ordered to be here before Christmas, but was on WAYYYYY backorder). I haven’t used it for printing yet, but I’ve used die-cuts on the Epic6 that mine came with in the kit. Their website here shows tutorials on different projects the creator has made with it: http://lifestylecrafts.blogspot.com/

Once I’m not so busy, I plan on playing around with it a little more. :)
