MIA
Sorry for being MIA this week. We are getting ready for the big move this Saturday and all of my time is being spent packing and unpacking. Did I mention we are moving down the street? Yep. So we are packing a car load, moving it and then unpacking it. One car load a night. Saturday morning we have a few marines coming by to help move all of the furniture as I am not going to be picking up anything too heavy! Have you heard of HirePatriots? If you live near a base I recommend checking it out. You post the job you need done (we asked for two guys to help us move, my parents once hired one to take down a tree in their yard) and how much you are going to pay and then they (military/vets) apply. It is a great way to support our military and get some work done!
Have a great rest of the week and I’ll see you all on monday!

want
I am on a big EmersonMade kick right now.

I want to wear this necklace every day.

I love (love love love) being pregnant, but I kind of miss my waist.

No, thank you.

22 weeks

- This week brought on the first “oh you’re expecting!” comment from a stranger (thanks sales guy at Lowes!).
- We received a few super cute clothing items in the mail (I am addicted to Gilt! That link will take you in as my referral, if you don’t mind!)
- Along with figuring out which couch to buy we are trying to figure out the best stroller. I am thinking the BOB plus the infant conversion kit. But can I get away with that as my only stroller?
- Second trimester is much easier than the first. Sometimes I forget I am pregnant and then I look down and am surprised to see this huge (to me) belly! I am enjoying the energy while I can because I know in a few months it will be gone.
- Every time I see a little boy now I get really excited. Although I don’t know much about ‘boy stuff’ I am really excited for the challenge.

affordable modern sleeper?
We are on the hunt for a new couch. More specifically a modern looking sleeper that won’t break the bank. I like the look of the Goodwin sofa at West Elm but the closest store is an hour away and I don’t know how comfy it is… Anyone out there own the Goodwin or know of any other good choices?

21 weeks

Every week I update the ’size’ of the baby on our fridge. At 20 weeks my pregnancy app said “Carrot” and then at 21 weeks my baby center email said “Carrot” so I figured it must now be a “Big Carrot.” After checking my What to Expect book, it says “Banana.” I wish they would all get on the same page already.

A big carrot indeed. Ha! Oh I crack myself up…

what just happened
So B and I like the place we live in now. A nice 2 bedroom in a duplex in our quiet beach town. With a baby on the way we have kept our eyes open for a bigger place but have had a hard time finding a 2.5 or 3 bedroom place that isn’t over $1900 a month (very top of our price range).
So Saturday we are driving around our neighborhood for kicks, writing down numbers of places that are for rent. A few hours later we are walking into a 2 bedroom unit which includes the following: a second bathroom, a TON of storage, a garage, two driveway parking spots, a deck and an ocean view. None of which our current place has. All for only an extra $50 a month! Next thing I know we are dropping off our application at the landlords home and then tonight we signed the lease and were given the keys. In a matter of 2 days we went from “where are we going to keep all of the diapers” to “look at all the room for diapers!!!” I am still a little speechless that we found such a gem so quickly, and am fully hoping that we won’t discover the reason why the rent is so cheap.

Sectional? Sofa bed? Dark? Light? So many choices. These are from IKEA.
