week 28

Week 28 has been pretty productive so far!
We went to our first Hypnobabies class on Monday and I am pretty excited about it. Admittedly the only experience I have with hypnosis is watching some schoolmates do funny things on grad night so I am still a little wary of it all, but I have heard such great things about Hynobabies that I am giving it a shot.
Yesterday we bought our crib and used Walmart’s free Site to Store service. The crib had an estimated arrival date of 11/11-11/18, I got an e-mail this morning saying it shipped and this afternoon it arrived at the store! We just went to pick it up and it is currently in our garage in its box until we paint the nursery.
I bought the fabric for the bumpers yesterday and it shipped from New York today.
We picked out and purchased paint colors for the nursery (2 shades of blue, to be separated by a white line across the middle of the walls)
All in all it has been a good week! I am now off to listen to one of my Hypnobabies tracks, and maybe make myself an ice cream shake because it is terribly hot right now. What is up with this weather?! It has been 90 degrees all day and there is no nice ocean breeze that we always count on (since we don’t have an air conditioner. Who needs an air conditioner when you live so close to the ocean?! Apparently we do.)
Top: J.Crew I love that this shirt still fits over my big ‘ol belly!
Pants: Gap Maternity They are pants, but they are on the verge of being leggings. They zip up and button, and are loose at the ankles so I wear them, but I am always a little self conscious that they look like leggings. No offense to leggings, they just aren’t my style. This picture isn’t helping either…
Shoes: Kate Spade Yes, still rocking the heels! I find that so long as I stretch every day, which I should do anyways, I don’t get back pain so no reason to ditch the heels. (Yet)

You look so cute!
Thanks Julia!!
Looking good, skinny!
STILL in heels?! You’re a freaking rockstar!
You look great
I’m only at 10 weeks and I have pretty much already ditched heels. ha. I think I need to stretch more already. I keep getting this darned pinch nerve. Glad to hear you enjoyed the hypnobabies class. We are thinking of doing that as well…so keep us updated on how you like it
You look so precious!! And you have been so productive!
Been reading your blog for a little while now – can’t remember if I’ve left a comment yet – but just wanted to say you look so cute in this pic! The bump is definitely showing now!
P.S. – I’m in the LA area also, and this heat wave is KILLING me!
Thanks everyone! I don’t feel so bad about the legging pants now
Sara: I wish I would have started stretching earlier on in my pregnancy! I bought a Prenatal yoga video from Target and did it a few times, but it was just all stretching, so now I just do all of the stretches while watching Friends reruns
Too cute! I stopped by Kelly’s Korner here recently for her Show Us Your Life and it was Kid’s Rooms week! Anyway, I stumbled across one that I thought you might find pretty stinkin’ cute!

I don’t think I’ve ever commented on your blog before…but I started reading probably almost 2 years ago when I was planning my wedding. Just had to comment on this post!
I’m also 28 weeks preggo – due January 25th. Hubs and I bought the same Walmart crib – except we went with the one that is entirely expresso. Took us about 1 hour to assemble and we love it so far (obviously not baby test yet!). My mom & I are going to sew the bedding – can’t wait to see it all assembled! Good luck w/ the rest of your pregnancy & nursery assembly. Only 12 more weeks!
Thank you so much for this post! I love your choice and will probably go with the same. Was the packaging it arrived is really huge? We would have to travel quite far to pick it up from the nearest store and I’d love to know that it would fit in my fairly spacious hatchback (fingers crossed!).
Mrs. EDO – Sounds like we are right one track with each other!! Can you believe that January 25th is just 10 weeks away? Yikes!!
acp – The crib package was quite large. It fit into my Honda CR-V with the back seats down. I think I heard that Walmart is now doing free shipping on every order for the holidays? Might be something to consider
Kaytee – LOVE that nursery!!!
