I have had google reader for over a year now (I know, I was totally late to that party) and all the while I star things I like so that I can go back in later to either blog about them or use them for myself. Well it is of no surprise that this once wedding-centered blog has morphed into more of a baby blog as that is what is on my mind most of the time (btw, I am due in 4 days! yikes!!) Sooooo, I went through all of my starred posts and took out the wedding ones and have compiled them all into one big wedding extravaganza for you! I know, very exciting. Although my wedding was a year and a half ago my very good friend Natalie is getting married in June, and on top of that, well, weddings are just fun to look at. The church is the one ‘vendor’ that we didn’t really have a choice on. Bryan is catholic, that is the church we go to so that is the church we would be married in. However, as a ‘vendor’ they dropped the ball a few too many times. But boy was it beautiful!!

(in this next picture… the priest had just likened me to the Virgin Mary. !)

We were married at the Mission Basilica in San Juan Capistrano.

Tips: I don’t really have any since every church/ceremony venue is different. If you have any specific questions regarding it though, let me know in the comments section and I will answer them the best I can!

One month ago today I married my love. Time really does fly!

And last but not least the program mock ups. These are only vaguely similar to what the real ones will look like. The real ones will be one size bigger (the covers will be out of A2 paper and the inside will be half of than 11×17 sheet), the covers will be grey, and the type will go up and down so that it opens up left to right, rather than top to bottom. This was one where I tried to get it all to fit on half of a sheet of 8.5×11 paper and it just wasn’t fitting. There will be 4 panels. The Party will list everyone in the wedding party and the parents. The ceremony will list the officiant and then the order of service. Special thanks will be a little note from bryan and I and The reception will have the name and address of our reception location as well as a map. This will save me from having to print a whole other card for the directions to go in our invitation envelope. We have a website as well but last we checked only like 17 people had looked at it

So I was set on getting a ring bowl from palomas nest. They are cute, personalized and functional after the wedding. (I forget where I saw it but someone made theirs into an ornament after the wedding!!) And for $30 or so it isn’t a bad price.

(this one would be perfect for us because my birthday is on St. Patricks day and Bryan is Irish! From Martha)

But then I think about the traditional ring pillow. It would be so easy to make (for my mom… I don’t have a sewing machine yet) and would be cute. But my question for you is, what do you plan on doing with it after the wedding? Do you keep it in a little memories box or something? What do you plan on doing with your? And if you aren’t doing a pillow or a ring bowl, what are you doing?!
