We Met in a Bar

a few things

I found another wedding at our location :) A few things I have to say about it:

1. I love her makeup

2. Is that a kids choir in the back? And if so, do they cost extra?!

3. I am thinking a few big floral pieces like this would be cool. Maybe a little lower… and in white vases?

4. We were told no flowers on the pews. Those, my friends, are flowers on the pews. Is it because I’m not Catholic? ;) Oh well, it is cheaper to go without the pew flowers… it’s just strange…

5. How gorgeous is the inside?! I can’t wait :)

still a stalker

Thanks with all the opinions on the no favor idea! I think I can confidently go without them now :) I am thinking the bottles with little ribbon around them with a white little tag that says Thank you for joining us! on it, we will see :)

Today will bring more pictures from SMS Photography. What can I say? They have beautifully photographed some gorgeous weddings!

I love this aisle decoration. So low key and elegant.

ain’t blogs great?!

They always know the right thing to say/show :) For example, Snippet and ink’s Real Wedding Sunday, which confirmed my thoughts on my non-flower girl girls :)

lovely

Sorry for the lack of posts today, the save the date assembling went very well! All i need is a few more stamps and one of those sealer thingies so I don’t have to lick all of the envelopes :) Until I upload all my pictures, I will leave you with this craft idea from Martha Stewart today. Wouldn’t these be lovely lining the aisles at a fall ceremony?

tanya’s wedding 1

Tanya and Tom held their ceremony at the Top of the World Resort and Spa, which was really just a huge estate (one in the same?) on the top of this mountain. It was gorgeous, although a bit windy, as you can see the bride trying to tame her veil :) The view during the ceremony was gorgeous, but at night it was even gorgeous-er ;) Stay tuned for gorgeous detail shots. All photos from Hugh Forte, an amazingly talented newcomer here in Orange County.

the ceremony

Is this not what a wedding is really about? Two people getting married, overlooking the beach, followed by cupcakes. Doesn’t get much better than that.

group hug!

Ok, maybe not a hug per se….   I love this picture! I have never seen a group shot done like this. Won’t really work for inside our church, but for you brides with outside weddings, this is something you should think about!

what happens in vegas…

…gets blogged about! haha

I have only been to vegas once, so I am pretty excited about today. Bryan and I are taking the afternoon off to drive up to Vegas to see his mom. (She lives on the east coast and is out in Vegas for the week for some work stuff) We will come back tomorrow, so just a quick little trip, but I am excited to see my future MIL, it has almost been a year since the last time we saw his family, and since we won’t be able to make it back east this holiday season we are glad we can take some time to see her now. So, I leave you with this beautiful picture from Martha. Who knows, maybe I will come back a Mrs. ;)

i wish i were a ballerina

When I was a little girl i took ballet classes, among some others, and boy did I love it. One of my mothers cousins would take me to her ballet practices when i was around 7 and she in high school and I just loved to watch them twirl around… so graceful. In more recent years, I grew a hidden love (well, not so hidden any more i guess :) ) for the movie Center Stage :) haha So embarrassing. But it is so good! All of this amounts to me absolutely loving this picture from evoke photography:

My two ‘girls’ are a bit older, both around 10, so I am not sure if the ballerina thing would work, but I might have to try it, cause it is just too dang cute!
