teaser…
… from the wedding i just finished editing. A couple from across the pond got married here in Dana Point and everything from the hair to the dress to the couple shots are crave worthy. Here is just a teaser for you while I get the rest of the posts ready, should have them to you in the next day or so

shot by him, of course.
Oh, I am also working on getting a special blog email address for anyone who wants to contact me! You know, to send me real weddings, request topics, ask me about invites or just to say hi!
Thanks again to all of my readers, I really appreciate knowing that people come here to see what I have to say (or maybe just the pictures I have to show) and I love love love every comment I get. This blogging community has helped me so much already in my wedding planning, and I can only hope that my blog helps some of you out there too

birds of a feather
UPDATE: check the comments for the Bride, Caroline’s details on her amazing wedding and tips on how to make yours amazing too, and within budget!
Going to the zoo is always a favorite of mine. You get to see all kinds of interesting animals that you really only ever get to see in a zoo, or on safari. Which is why whenever we would come across the peacock pin I would wonder “what the heck are they doing in the zoo?” You see my grandparents, up until a few years ago owned a lot of peacocks, which for most of my childhood would roam free in their huge backyard. My sisters and I would run out and pick up their gorgeous feathers, and we would often bring home peacock bouquets. Ever since then peacock feathers have held a special place in my heart. So when I saw this wedding, shot by Crystal and Mike of Toole Art Photography I had to ask if I could post it. The bride, Caroline is gorgeous, the food looks amazing and the “cake” included Krispy Kremes! Enjoy:

Always good to end with cuppage

holy moly
I found this gorgeous wedding over on Leigh Miller’s blog and had to ask if I could post it! I am told that Kathryn over at Snippet and Ink is going to feature it too, I am guessing on Saturday, so make sure to check over there as I am sure she will have more details for you. All I have (and all i really need) are the pictures
Leigh tells me that this wedding was sans planner, and wow, Christine and Reggie really pulled off a spectacular event! Ok, enough from me, check out their pictures:

Seriously. Gorgeous. Thanks Leigh for being an amazing photographer

I said a while ago that I was helping out a photographer friend of mine with his editing (yay for having a growing wedding photography business and needing to enlist help!) Well he just posted a few of the weddings I helped with on his blog
Here are some of my favorites.

gorgeous
Ok, I was looking through my “to blog about” folder, and it is overflowing! I keep saving them for days when I don’t have anything in particular to write about, but I think I add more to it then i use up, so posts will be heavy for the next week or so
How gorgeous are these photos from Our labor of Love? Love the dresses (grey!) and the bouquets… simply gorgeous.

Oh, and a side note, I was totally on the ball and refreshed the page just in time to see the newest items up on the Nie Nie etsy sale and had my eye on some gorgeous earrings, when a guy from the tech department comes up and starts asking me about fonts! He just walked away and when i went back… the earrings, and pretty much everything else, had been scooped up
Yay for NieNie but boo for me.

Ok, So i think, well no, I know, we found our photographer! His name is Miah, I found him through our church directory, and as soon as I turned to the first page of the first album he showed us, I was hooked. I hope he doesn’t mind I stole these off his blog, so if you take them, please link back to Studio7 photography! Behold, the beauty that is the team of Miah and Mike!

(I went to high school with her! hi becky!)

(also from the mission adjoined with our church)

(wasn’t I just saying I wanted a picture like this?!)

(also friends of mine! congrats Kristen and Dave!)

Seriously I am so stoked and so incredibly blessed that Miah has made it possible for us to have our big day captured in such a beautiful way. He is so talented. If you are in need of a photographer, definitely check them out!

I added a new link category for the photographers that I love
Be sure to check them out! I will be adding more as I find them
We don’t have our photographer booked yet… it seems that our budget + my insane love for amazing photography don’t seem to be agreeing at the moment. We have an appointment tomorrow with a photographer who is friends with my grandmother… I’ll let you know how it goes
I leave you this week with a picture that I hope to re-enact at our wedding. I think it will work quite nicely on the big balcony overlooking the harbor.
